Tuxford Lawnmower Centre has been specialising in Garden Machinery since 1983. We are a family run business and have a wide range of Garden Machinery available to suit every requirement. Many of our products offer FREE next day delivery and all our Ride on Lawnmowers are delivered personally by us, ready to use. All Cobra, Billy Goat, Argi-Fab, Murray, Eliet and Briggs & Stratton products are available as next working day delivery, if your order is placed before 2pm Monday – Thursday (stock permitting) Orders placed on Friday before 2pm will be dispatched for delivery on the following Monday. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday or (Tuesday if bank holiday) & will be delivered the next working day.
All Cobra Products are available as next working day delivery, if your order is placed before 2pm Monday – Thursday (stock permitting) Orders placed on Friday before 2pm will be dispatched for delivery on the following Monday. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday or (Tuesday if bank holiday) & will be delivered the next working day.
Please note that although we strive to provide accurate information on shipping it should only be seen as a guide and is “courier permitting”
Delivery to remote areas may take our couriers a day or two later.
*N.B. We only ship to mainland England, Wales & Scotland. We do not currently ship to UK off-shore delivery addresses, Ireland (North & South), the European mainland or further afield.
If any changes occur with the shipment of your product we will endeavor to contact you as soon as possible and your order may be cancelled by yourself at any time prior to dispatch if the wait should prove unsatisfactory. For dispatched items please see our returns policy.
Upon receipt of your goods please take care to examine them carefully before signing for the delivery as you are being asked by the courier to confirm not just receipt of the goods but that they have been received in good condition. If you suspect that there may be any damage to your consignment suffered during transit please make a note of this on the delivery slip when asked to sign. Failure to do this may impact on any claim you make as to the state of the goods with regards to damage or breakages after the delivery has taken place. When buying a new pedestrian petrol lawnmower it can be slightly daunting if you have never purchased or used one before. To make it easier for you and as a thank you for purchasing a lawnmower from us, we will send you out a FREE bottle of engine oil. All we ask is for you to register with us upon checkout. We will also send you hints and tips, if you agree, on how to look after your lawnmower and your garden.
Atco Pedestrian Lawnmowers
All our Atco petrol and cordless Pedestrain Lawnmowers are available for delivery within a 20 miles radious of our shop, delivery is charged separtley. Our Atco lawnmowers are not delivered by a courier on a pallet. Our delivery service is a personal delivery service and we will be able to take you through everything step by step on how your lawnmower works and how to get the best out of your machine. All machines out of the 20 mile radius is subject collection only.
Atco Ride on Lawnmowers
All Atco Ride on lawnmowers are available for delivery subject to charge. Our Ride on lawnmowers are not delivered by a courier on a pallet. Our delivery service is a personal delivery service with a member of our team who is fully knowledgably on all our products and will be able to take you through everything step by step on how your lawnmower works and how to get the best out of your machine.
All Our ride on lawnmowers upon delivery are:
- Fully Assembled, saving you time and hassle of doing it yourself.
- Sent through the workshop to undertake a complete pre delivery inspection in accordance with the manufactures guidelines
- All controls are tested to ensure they are in perfect working order
- Cleaned and polished and gleaming
- The engine is fine tuned to ensure optimum cutting and performance
- Your lawnmower will be delivered with fuel and oil and all ready to get working
We will, of course, be in contact with you every step of the way, from the point of order right through to the aftersales care. You will receive a phone call from us to discuss your shipping schedule and to arrange a time and date suitable to yourself.
All of our Atco Ride on Lawnmowers are supported by a manufacturers domestic 2 year parts and labor warranty and in some cases your lawnmower has an extended domestic five year parts and labour warranty based on an annual service with your local Atco dealer. (see terms)
We have a dedictaed workshop where we carry out all servicing and repairs. Here, we have the knowledge and understanding to help you in any situation whether it be a break down or just an annual service.

From time to time certain products may go out of stock and due to the amount of products available on our website it can prove difficult to keep up with all stock quantities. If your item is not in stock, it will be placed on back order. If this is the case you will receive an email which will give you an estimated date in which you will receive your goods, or an option to cancel if you would rather not wait or if you would prefer, we could advise on a suitable alternative
If you are not happy with your item you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods. Once this has been acknowledged you have another 14 days to return the goods to us.
We do have to charge for return delivery, unless the item was delivered in error or is defective. So we do ask that you pay for the cost of sending it back. We try to keep the cost as low and as fair as possible and if you so wish you can arrange to return the goods yourself through your choice of courier service. If you are local to us you may also wish to return the item back to us personally.
If the product has been used and returned during the 14-day period, the amount of the refund will depend on the item’s condition and on any damage from use, cosmetic or otherwise.
We ask that returned items come back in original packaging. If they are not, and other packaging and collection services are needed, you must pay the extra costs.
We send out refunds as soon as possible but no later than 14 days of us agreeing to your refund providing your goods are returned to us. You are responsible for looking after the product until we collect. The same applies if you want to bring it back to us yourself.
All of our products are supplied with the full manufacturer’s warranty and covers any manufacturing fault that develops during the guarantee period but not wear and tear of the machine.
Unless otherwise stated, the time period given for this guarantee is for normal domestic operation and customers should be aware that use of a product in a commercial environment would normally result in a shorter (or no) warranty period being given by the manufacturer.
Customers should also be advised that some warranties are conditional on an annual service being carried out.
If your product develops a manufacturing fault during the period of guarantee, you may either arrange with us for the product to be collected and examined by our engineers or make use of the manufacturer's network of service agents around the country.
In the event that a product is returned to us and the fault is found not to be a manufacturing defect, we reserve the right to recover any costs incurred including carriage charges and labour time.
Customers are further advised that the manufacturer's warranty will not necessarily cover the cost of taking the product to and from the manufacturer's agent or Ttuxford Lawnmower Centre and that this will normally be the responsibility of the customer. Details of your nearest warranty agent can be obtained directly from the manufacturer's website or you can contact us direct.
The terms and conditions under which we supply goods to you do not in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
